Janna Wilder, CACIII
JannaW@StoutStreet.org
I had been a meth addict going on thirteen years. I was in trouble and on probation from the time I was eighteen until the age of twenty seven. By then I had a seven year old son, who was not apart of my life due to my drug habit. I couldn’t bring myself to be around him. Finally a judge decided he had enough of seeing in and out of court. He gave me the option of two years in Stout Street or six years in prison. I had had enough of my lifestyle and was tired. Tired of the horrible feelings and the lifestyle and the people I had surrounded my self with. So I gave Stout Street a chance. I learned a lot about myself here, and I continue to learn something new everyday. My son is back in my life and I finally got off probation. I know I don’t ever want to live that way again. SO, since I learned from others how to have faith in myself I went to school and got my CAC II, on my way to my three. And because of the faith that Stout Street had in me and my abilities as a counselor, they hired me to work here. So now I get to give back to others what was given to me. How awesome is that!!
