Things you should know before applying:

The program is 2-3 years long. The aftercare portion of the program is required to complete the program.

Upon admission into the program, men will get their head and facial hair shaved.

Upon admission into the program women will not be allowed to wear make-up, jewelry, perfume, etc. until their 90 day restriction is completed.

Upon admission into the program men will not be able to wear watches, jewelry, cologne, wallet, etc. until their 90 day restriction is completed.

Other then a ten minute phone call there will be no phone calls, mail, or adult visitation until the 90 day restriction is completed.

After completing the first 30 days of the program children may visit their parents on the 3rd Sunday of every month.

After your 90 day restriction period is completed you will be allowed one monthly adult visit on either the 2nd or 4th Sunday of the month from 12:30 to 3:30pm. You will also be allowed one monthly phone call for the first 6 months after your 90 day restriction.

One-on-one counseling is provided with a Certified Addiction Counselor II and above. You will formulate your treatment plan with your counselor.

If you are coming to Stout Street from another state or outside of the Front Range area, you will be responsible for providing your own transportation. The admissions office is open from 8:00am until 4:00PM. When coming from another state or outside of the Front Range area it is very important to have enough money for return fare. Your entrance into the program may be jeopardized by not having your return fare!

If by chance you do arrive with money (from the county jail for example), the money will be placed in a special account and returned to you upon graduation. If you leave the program early for any reason, the money will automatically be donated to the Foundation’s general operating fund.

There are several cardinal rules. Breaking these rules could result in possible termination from Stout Street Foundation.

All residents are required to work, if an individual is unable to do so it may impact ones eligibility for enrollment.

Failure to be completely honest during the interview process about medical, mental or legal issues could result in being terminated from the program.

Stout Street Foundation uses confrontation as part of its treatment modality.
